At the Movies 2009!

Oh man, I feel a teency bit brain dead. My thoughts are full of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because that is what the theme is of our lobby at our church for At the Movies.

Okay, to fill you in, I go to LifeChurch.tv and every summer our pastor does a series called, well, At the Movies. He uses movies to teach the word of God and it's a big hit and LOADS of people come. We use this opportunity to bring them in big time and let the truth of God's word touch their hearts!

Well, the campuses decorate the heck out of their buildings for this thing and y'all, this year, our campus is knockin' it out of the park.

I need to stop and give my hubs some props here. He is not quick to admit it, but this was a lot of his idea. He is so amazing at creativity and so are some other people on his team. BUT, this team at the Edmond campus is so unreal! They all have amazing ownership in this beast and they are really pulling it off.

So, every night, and maybe part of the day, I haul the short people up there and we help decorate. I don't have good pics right now, but I'll take some tomorrow and post them for you.

Here are a few hints:

Eight 15 foot trees. Five are Lollipop trees and three are candy cane trees. About a bajillion giant mushrooms, about a dozen giant pumpkins full of candy, a chocolate bridge and waterfall, and even oompa loompas.
